The Bible teaches that every person bears God's image (Genesis 1:27) and therefore deserves dignity, justice, and mercy — truths that call the church to oppose racism, defend the marginalized, and pursue restorative love. Current stories — debates over representation, a film about a formerly incarcerated Black artist seeking redemption, political conversations about the Black vote, and the mourning of a civil‑rights leader — all press Christians to practice truth and reconciliation, reject stereotyping, and embody forgiveness and justice (Micah 6:8; James 2; Galatians 3:28).
