Grounded Viewpoint
Elections raise biblical concerns about justice, truth, and the protection of the vulnerable: Scripture calls believers to respect governing authorities (Romans 13) while also to seek justice, defend the rights of others, and act with integrity (Micah 6:8; Proverbs 31:8–9). The current disputes over security at polls, voter ID rules, and declining trust in election administration challenge Christians to pursue peace, prayerful discernment, and faithful engagement that protects access to the vote without enabling intimidation or lawlessness.
