Sanctuary News collects only the information needed to deliver the Daily Briefing, understand readership, secure the service, and support the publication through advertising.
Information we collect
If you subscribe, we store your email address, consent and confirmation times, subscription status, signup source, topic preferences, and delivery events such as successful delivery, bounce, complaint, or suppression. Account features may also store profile and topic-following information.
Resend processes Daily Briefing delivery on our behalf. Every briefing includes preference and unsubscribe controls. We stop marketing delivery after an unsubscribe, hard bounce, spam complaint, or suppression event.
Analytics and advertising
Sanctuary News uses Google Consent Mode and Google’s certified consent-management platform. Until a reader makes a choice, advertising and analytics storage are denied by default. Google and its advertising partners may process device, browser, approximate location, and usage information according to the choices the reader makes and their own privacy terms. Contextual or limited ads may be served where allowed. You may continue reading without consenting to personalized advertising or analytics storage.
Sources, security, and retention
We record limited operational logs to prevent abuse and diagnose failures. Source links lead to independent publishers whose practices we do not control. We retain subscription records while active and retain minimal suppression records when necessary to honor opt-outs and delivery complaints.
Your choices
You can decline optional storage, change newsletter topics, unsubscribe from any briefing, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
