Scenes of strikes, crashes and civilian deaths call the church to mourn and to embody lament — Scripture repeatedly grieves with the brokenhearted (e.g., Psalm 34:18) and demands compassionate care for victims. At the same time the Bible insists on seeking justice and pursuing peace (Micah 6:8; Matthew 5:9), urging Christians to pray, advocate for restraint, and minister to those wounded by the violence.
