The current national security strains—domestic shutdowns undermining homeland safety, external warfare and economic shocks, and rising homegrown violence—call Christians to pray for those in authority and for peace (1 Timothy 2:1–2; Matthew 5:9) while holding leaders accountable to protect the common good (Romans 13:1–4). Our ultimate security rests in God's sovereignty (Psalm 46), which compels the church to pursue justice, care for the vulnerable, and seek wisdom before action.
