These stories of sudden loss, public grief, workplace displacement and the harm of online falsehoods call the church to both lament and active compassion—‘weep with those who weep’ (Romans 12:15) and ‘bear one another’s burdens’ (Galatians 6:2). Biblical truth also bids us guard speech and pursue healing in truth (Ephesians 4:15; James 3), while holding fast to the hope of resurrection and God’s presence in mourning (John 11:25–26; Psalm 34:18).
