Grief

Grounded Viewpoint

These accounts show how grief can dignify sacrificial love, expose raw human brokenness, and, at times, be twisted into something dark; the Bible welcomes honest mourning (Matthew 5:4, John 11:35) while promising God’s nearness to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Christians are called both to receive and offer God’s comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3–4) and to seek compassion and justice where grief intersects with harm (Micah 6:8).
