Federal Courts

Grounded Viewpoint

Federal courts are where our civic life seeks to translate God’s call for justice and mercy into concrete decisions; Scripture repeatedly calls believers to defend the vulnerable and uphold righteous rule (Micah 6:8; Isaiah 1:17; Matthew 25:35–40). At the same time Romans reminds us that governments and judges bear authority and must be held accountable to law and truth, so Christians should pray for and advocate a justice that protects the powerless, honors due process, and resists partiality.
