The Texas Senate contest — with rising Latino turnout, immigration debates, and heated primaries — invites Christians to hold together the biblical call to welcome the stranger (Leviticus 19:33–34; Deuteronomy 10:18–19) and the call to seek justice and faithful leadership (Micah 6:8; Romans 13). Right now that means praying and voting with compassion for vulnerable neighbors while insisting leaders act with integrity, protect the common good, and pursue policies that promote peace and accountability.
