Report: Trump supported 90 US coal plants
The Environmental Defense Fund says the Trump administration supported 90 of 184 U.S. grid-connected coal plants through $950m in subsidies, Clean Air Act exemptions, and requirements to remain online past planned retirements. The report says those actions helped plants keep operating despite market and regulatory pressures.
