The ongoing conflict in Syria, marked by violence, retaliation, and persistent instability, stands in stark contrast to Jesus’ call to be peacemakers (Matthew 5:9) and the biblical longing for swords to be beaten into plowshares (Isaiah 2:4). These events highlight the brokenness of a world still longing for the justice, healing, and true peace that only Christ can ultimately bring.
