Current events highlight law enforcement officers facing grave dangers, division, and the challenge of upholding justice amidst chaos and controversy. Romans 13:1-4 teaches that authorities are God's servants to do good, yet these stories also call believers to pray for wisdom, protection, and integrity for those entrusted with maintaining order, as well as to seek peace and justice in a broken world (Micah 6:8). The sacrifice and courage shown by officers reflect Christ's teaching that 'greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends' (John 15:13).
